Healing with Integrity and Power

Medical Ethics and Virtue-Power in Traditional Chinese Medicine

with Sabine Wilms, PhD (and Sun Simiao)

  • Education

Are you curious about the beloved oath of Chinese medicine, and about its original version and author from the seventh century? Are you searching for guidance in making difficult ethical decisions in your clinical practice? Have you wanted to study with Sabine Wilms, PhD, the international scholar who has been researching, translating, and teaching about Sun Simiao's work, and his medical ethics chapter in particular, for decades? This is your chance to go beyond Dr. Wilms' book, Healing Virtue-Power, and ask her follow-up questions, or to learn about it in an engaging live lecture and discussion.
  • Inspiration and Personal Growth

Do you feel like your well is running dry during these challenging times? Might you benefit from a reminder of why you love your clinical practice and what you bring to the world as a healer in the powerful tradition of Chinese medicine? Are you interested in learning more about the many jewels to be found in traditional Chinese philosophy and religion, in addition to the medical texts of course, to support your personal growth and transformation? What does it really mean to be a healer and how do you support that role in yourself? Where can YOU go to nourish yourself, so that you can continue to be there for your patients in a sustainable and restorative practice?
  • Community and Connection

What is better than spending a few hours removed from the pressures of your busy life in the delightful and heartfelt company of your fellow practitioners of Chinese medicine? And how often do you get to do that in person these days, in an intimate setting of 25 participants max? I promise you laughter, wonder, hugs if you are so inclined, and many shoulders to lean on, as we enjoy each other's healing presence. I very much look forward to fostering connection and mutual support, in the process of exploring our role as healers in challenging times and recharging our hearts and spirits together.
